Wood or Aluminum?

What's better to use wood bats or aluminum? Many people seem to think that if young people use wood bats they will be prepared for the next level, but is this true? Wood bats force you to stay inside of the ball and drive the ball to all parts of the field. If you get to inside of the ball the bat will shatter. This costs lots of money to buy another wood bat. If all leagues switched to wood bats scouts wouldn't be able to see the outfielders run because a lot of baseballs aren't hit to the outfield. If aluminum is used it gives outfielders a better chance to run after a ball, and show speed. That is what most scouts look for in an outfielder. Aluminum makes competition harder, because the ball flys off the bat.

In my opinion i believe that younger kids should use aluminum and major or minor leaguers should use wood. Reason being is because people who are in the minors or majors have already showed off their skills to scouts. Little leaguers and high school athletes haven't had that opportunity yet. Wood can make you better, but for younger people it should be used inside. Older people use wood because if aluminum is used then fields will have to be bigger because the amount of homeruns will increase, and money becomes an issue.

Curses

What is a curse? One team in major league baseball has been cursed for a long period of time. This means that something evil has has come upon this team for many years. This team is the Chicago Cubs, and they haven't been too a world series since 1908. A man named William "Billy Goat" Sianis tryed to bring a goat to game 4 of the 1945 world series, that brought along the curse of the goat. Even though damage had already been done they ended up leaving the stadium because apparently the goat smelled, and the cubs ended up losing the series. So is it really a curse? Die hard Cubs fans seem to believe so since they haven't been to a world series in over 100 years. A plague like this needs to stop. The Cubs, since the 1945 world series, have been in the playoffs many times, but seem to come up short every time. In 2003 the Cubs had the opportunity to prove every team wrong of the curse. They had in depth pitching, and an unstoppable offence that produced runs like crazy. Cubs seemed to be doing well in the series, but a 26 year old man by the name of Steve Bartmen got in the way of a foul ball. Moises Alou left fielder at the time was going up to catch a flyball and the fan snatched it out of his glove. They ended up losing the game and the series. So the curse of the goat and the 2003 playoffs has effected them up till this point. Personally i don't think the curse is true because there should be no excuse to not winning a world series in over 100 years. They have had the pitching and defense they just so happen to be unlucky and fall short every time.
